Attending the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) this year was one of the most amazing experiences of my undergraduate career. It’s the largest conference for women in tech, drawing thousands from around the world to network and celebrate our achievements. It was filled with inspiring events, panels, sessions, recruitment opportunities, and more! I’ll be sharing everything—from daily details and stories to some Chicago fun.
Before we dive into the fun details, I want to thank UCI’s Women in Information and Computer Sciences (WICS) and the Office of Outreach, Access, and Inclusion (OAI) for giving me and others the wonderful opportunity to attend GHC.

Hello! I’m Lizbeth, a 4th-year Data Science major with a minor in Health Informatics. I’m a Girls Who Code (GWC) alumni, a Breakthrough Tech AI/ML fellow, and the ‘25-’26 WICS Secretary! As a first-generation college student, attending GHC as my very first conference was an incredible experience, and I loved the chance to learn from professionals and peers while hearing about everyone’s backgrounds and experiences.
